It was in 1836 that the future Maison Pommery saw the light of day, created by Narcisse Group. Twenty years later, he was joined by Monsieur Pommery, and Henry Vasnier became the company’s financial backer. Following the sudden death of Monsieur Pommery, it was his wife, Jeanne-Alexandrine Louise, who took over the running of the company in 1858. In 1868, Louise Pommery undertook the construction of the Domain which still stands today, a huge building enterprise which was only completed in 1888. However, 1874 was the year of the real “Pommery Revolution”- The Brut Nature, the veritable symbol of our Maison’s identity-was created. In 2002, the company Vranken Monopole acquired the Maison Pommery inside its Group.
